How Wallery works

Six quick steps, all in your browser. Wallery never sees your photos.

  1. 1

    Photograph your wall

Take a straight-on photo of the wall where the art will hang — straight from your phone is fine.

  2. 2

    Enter the wall size

Measure the width and height of that wall area and type them in. This sets the true scale.

  3. 3

    Add the painting

Upload a photo or the shop's product image of the artwork you're considering.

  4. 4

    Enter the painting size

Use the dimensions from the listing or the back of the frame.

  5. 5

    Position it

Drag the painting across your wall. It's drawn at its real size, so what you see is what you'll get.

  6. 6

    Download your preview

Save the composited image to compare options or share with whoever you're deciding with.

When to use it

Frequently asked questions

How do I know what size painting will fit my wall?
Measure the wall area where the art will hang and take a straight-on photo of it. In Wallery you enter those real measurements, then enter the real width and height of the painting. Wallery scales the painting against your wall photo so you see its true footprint — no guesswork, no painter's tape on the wall.
Is my photo uploaded or stored anywhere?
No. Wallery processes your photos entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never sent to a server, never written to storage, and never logged. Closing or refreshing the page clears everything.
Does this work with a phone photo of my wall?
Yes. Wallery is designed mobile-first — you can open your camera directly from the upload step, shoot your wall, and preview the artwork on the spot. If a phone photo comes in rotated, a one-tap rotate button fixes it.
Can I use this before buying a painting online?
That is the main use case. Take the listing's stated dimensions, enter them in Wallery along with your wall measurements, and you will see whether the piece is too small, too large, or just right before you pay.
Is Wallery free to use?
Yes, Wallery is completely free and needs no account. The only output is a preview image you choose to download, which carries a small Wallery logo watermark.
